The project of the Republic of San Marino for the last 2015 International Art Exhibition was inspired by the conflicts of our time: to reaffirm its pacifist, secular, libertarian characters, the oldest Republic in the world offers a vision dedicated to the theme of friendship and cooperation between peoples. The project aims once again to emphasize the importance of collaboration and dialogue between peoples, a current topic in the society in which we live, characterized by a strong lack of communication in politic, social, economic, religious and cultural fields. This new 2017 edition of "Friendship Project" for the 57° International Art Exhibition will focus on ink painting, which at this time is highly debated in the Chinese cultural world for its relevance and its future. The idea to focus on ink painting has been warmly welcomed in China, involving in this project the highest cultural associations and authorities, like in the last edition which allowed a great comparison among artists from the Republic of San Marino and chinese artists. To complete the exhibition, will be presented in addition to the ink artworks paintings, some sculptures.
