Joan Miró- Giovanna Fra
Dialogue between sign and color
An imaginary dialogue between Joan Miró, with 8 beautiful engravings and Giovanna Fra with 20 interesting works on paper and on canvas.
From the text of Vincenzo Sanfo "Between Sign and Color"
... In some of them I saw some analogies with certain works by Mirò in which the gesture and the sign release the poetic inspiration I find in the works of Giovanna Fra.
While in Miró there is a playful, almost childlike component, in Giovanna there is a participation, a reasoning, almost an instant reserve and, above all, exactly like in Miró, an uninterrupted dialogue with the matter, with the bursting color, transfers and to some extent, leads the artist to unknown places and in the face of totally unexpected results at the start.
Giovanna Fra leads and is led by this sort of coloristic tranche, as Mirò is made, but without ever losing the lucidity of a path that is what circulates and lives in his mind.
Giovanna Fra, in her apparent pictorial literacy, hides a creative force that she transposes, tracing from the inner feelings of a creative force that she knows she possesses. "
